Lea R.C. hosts two regattas each year which are open to all comers. The course, at 600m, is an ideal introduction to side-by-side racing for juniors and a good distance for masters and senior crews looking for some one-on-one sprint practice. Water conditions are flat, with only a hint of stream. We offer racing for all, whatever their boat class or experience. There is a towpath running the full length of the course for supporters to watch the racing.
Both regattas are atmospheric and friendly events with the club bar and café open all day. Lea R.C. members also volunteer on our famous cake stall!
Lea Spring Regatta is held on the last Sunday in April.
Lea Autumn Regatta is held on the first Sunday in September.
More specific information about the next event can be found on the Regatta page links below. Regatta posters, entries details and competitors’ instructions, maps and safety plans and instructions will be published on these pages in the lead-up to the next regatta.
